El Servicio Marítimo de la Guardia Civil, también conocido por su acrónimo SEMAR o, extraoficialmente, como Guardia Civil del Mar, es la unidad de la Guardia Civil dedicada a la vigilancia de las aguas territoriales españolas. Se constituyó por un Real Decreto de 22 de febrero de 1991. Desde 1997 se integra en él la Unidad de Actividades Subacuáticas (UAS), cuyo origen se remonta a 1981. Se organiza en una Jefatura, ubicada en el mismo complejo de edificios que alberga la Dirección General del Cuerpo, en Madrid; y 24 Servicios Marítimos Provinciales, que abarcan todo el litoral español, aparte de una Unidad de Actividades Subacuáticas que comprende una Unidad Central de Actividades Subacuáticas y 18 Grupos Especiales de Actividades Subacuáticas. Al frente se halla el Coronel Jefe del Servicio Marítimo de la Guardia Civil. The Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, also known by its acronym SEMAR or, unofficially, as the Civil Guard of the Sea, is the unit of the Civil Guard dedicated to the surveillance of Spanish territorial waters. It was established by a Royal Decree of February 22, 1991. Since 1997, the Underwater Activities Unit (UAS) has been integrated into it, whose origin dates back to 1981. It is organized in a Headquarters, located in the same building complex that houses the General Directorate of the Corps, in Madrid; and 24 Provincial Maritime Services, which cover the entire Spanish coastline, apart from an Underwater Activities Unit that includes a Central Underwater Activities Unit and 18 Special Underwater Activities Groups. At the head is the Colonel Chief of the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard. Der Seedienst der Zivilgarde, auch bekannt unter dem Akronym SEMAR oder inoffiziell als Zivilgarde des Meeres, ist die Einheit der Zivilgarde, die sich der Überwachung der spanischen Hoheitsgewässer widmet.
