HMS Vanguard (o HMS Bellerophon o Elephant HMS). Esta nave de arma 74 de la línea era buque insignia de Nelson en la famosa Batalla del Nilo, en 1a/2a 08 1798. Vanguard Nelson fue diseñado por Slade (de la fama de la Victoria) y fue uno de los catorce barcos tasas tercera pistola 74 que formaban la clase Arrogant . El barco fue ordenado el 9 de diciembre de 1779 y la quilla establecidas en Deptford el 16 de octubre de 1782. Durante este tiempo, Gran Bretaña no estaba en guerra por lo que su construcción siguió adelante muy lentamente, poniendo en marcha el 6 de marzo de 1787.
HMS Vanguard (or HMS Bellerophon or Elephant HMS). This 74th gun ship of the line was Nelson's flagship in the famous Battle of the Nile, in 1/2 August 1798. Vanguard Nelson was designed by Slade (of Victory fame) and was one of fourteen third pistol rate 74 ships that made up the Arrogant class. The ship was ordered on December 9, 1779 and the keel laid at Deptford on October 16, 1782. During this time, Great Britain was not at war so its construction proceeded very slowly, putting it into operation on March 6 from 1787.

März ab 1787 in Betrieb nahm.
